Spring Showcase: Hamden Earth Day @ Town Center Park
A full day of community events @ Hamden’s Town Center Park. Something for every resident and family in the community to participate in - indoors and outdoors, early and late, kids and adults. All of the following take place at Town Center Park and/or Hamden’s Miller Memorial Library & Cultural Center adjacent to the park.

Broadway returns to the Shubert Theater for 3 nights/days. Link for more details and tickets.
Chosen Family monthly dinner @ Spring Glen Church. 5-7pm. A monthly LGBTQ+ gathering space over dinner.
Saturday April 22
Town of Hamden Earth Day celebration, with a diverse group of exhibitors showcasing the various community sustaining and developing initiatives they have carried out in the past year. These exhibitors will have a plethora of interactive displays to both educate and entertain guests at the celebration. Link for more details.

Community Paint Day @ Town Center Park. The MLK Mural Project begins, Hamdenites are invited to help paint the mural. 10am-3pm.

Sunday April 23
“Spring History Hike” @ Sleeping Giant State Park. Guided hike focusing on the industry and quarrying that gave rise to the move to save the Giant a century ago. This hike will be led by Julie Hulten and Gail Cameron, who have each done extensive research into the history of the park and the Association. Link to register.
The Woods so Wild: Voices of Nature from 17th-Century Europe. This concert by Annette Richards is part of the Great Organ Music at Yale (GOMY) series. 7:30pm. Free. Link for more details.
Tuesday April 25
Junior Explorers Club hosts a Beekeeping Workshop. The Huneebee Project's youth leaders will run a workshop on beekeeping for children. This presentation will be in the pavilion adjacent to the Trowbridge Environmental Center in East Rock Park. 3:30-4:30pm. Free. Link for more details.

Opening Night in Hamden for a new collaboration between Long Wharf Theater and Space Ballroom. 7pm. Live From the Edge is an experience unlike any other. The Hamden Library is excited to announce a special event: Author Adam Wallenta and his son Makana will be here to talk about their award winning graphic novel, Punk Taco! This presentation will include a special drawing demo and lesson. Copies of Punk Taco will be available for sale after the event. Each book purchased will be personalized and contain an original sketch. Link to register.
