Spring Showcase: Hello Hamden App
The all new “Hello Hamden App” is free and available for both Apple and Android. It was created to provide an easy access tool for residents, visitors, students and families. The App is sure to be a valuable resource that highlights local businesses, local events and all that Hamden has to offer. Find all things LOCAL in the palm of your hand! Link for download options.
The App was developed by the Hamden Regional Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Quinnipiac University and the Town of Hamden municipal government.

Thursday April 6
Two wins away from an NCAA national championship. QU men’s ice hockey national semifinal game in the “Frozen Four” vs the University of Michigan. 8:30pm on ESPN2. Link for preview video.
Friday April 7
Join NH Docs and BVFCC for a new monthly screening collaboration. Our inaugural feature will be “The Oystering Life” directed by Steve Hamm. There will be a Q&A following the screen with director Steve Hamm and Chef Nadine Nelson, Green Queen of Cuisine, the eco chef and social entrepreneur of Global Local Gourmet, a roving community-supported kitchen. The event begins at 7pm, with a cover charge of $10.

Saturday April 8
Science on Saturdays @ Yale. 10am-12pm. Free. Hamden families are invited to explore science with hands-on demonstrations by Yale students and a lecture by Yale professor Dr. Albert Ko. An infectious disease specialist and epidemiologist from the Yale School of Public Health, Dr. Ko will talk about "How We Use Science to Protect People from Epidemics." Link for more details.
NCAA National Championship game for men’s ice hockey. 8pm on ESPN2.
Hui: A Native Hawaiian Art Exhibition artwork made by Native Hawaiians from the Yale community (students, alumni, and faculty). Mediums include printing, photography, painting, and poetry. The gallery is located on the third flood of the Native American Cultural Center (26 High Street) and is open to the public. Celebrate the exhibition’s opening at a reception on April 8 from 2-5pm.

Trek the Trail event on the Farmington Canal Trail. 5:30-7pm. Details below.
Tuesday April 11
Kickoff Event - RiseUP Stories of Hope Mural Project. 5-7pm @ the site of the mural: AllTown Fresh, 1941 Dixwell Ave. Bring the whole family to check out the mural rendering, meet the artist, participate in some paint projects, and help us raise awareness of the benefits of organ donation.
