Summer Spotlight: CT Plant Science Day @ Hamden’s Lockwood Farm

The 114th annual Connecticut Plant Science Day returns once again to Hamden’s Lockwood Farm. A full day of science and agricultural exhibitions, explorations, and learning activities. The day includes a “Kids Korner” and a “Child Passport” as well as a butterflies and bumblebees exhibit. Click here for the full schedule.

Hamden Food in the News:

Cantean has reopened. When the basement wall at Spring Glen Hardware collapsed, Cantean was forced to close temporarily until the neighboring property was made safe. Now, Cantean is back. Here is a look at their menu of sandwiches, salads, baked goods, small plates, pizza, gelato, coffees, teas, wine, beer, and spirits. Each evening, the cafe converts to a wine bar with regular community events and performances.
