Winter Wonders: Tournament Time!
CT’s #1-ranked Hamden High girl’s basketball, and nationally #2-ranked QU men’s ice hockey, and nationally #6-ranked QU women’s ice hockey, plus Hamden High girl’s ice hockey all enter post-season play aiming for championships - league, state, and national. With several games hosted here in Hamden, teams are looking for the home-court and home-ice advantage with large and loud Hamden crowds.
CIAC Division 1 state tournament begins on March 3rd at Hamden High School. The Green Dragons are 23-0, just won the SCC Tournament Championship this week, and are seeded #1 in the state tournament. Link for tournament bracket. Tickets for the state tournament must be purchased in advance online - tickets cannot be purchased in the gym (CIAC rule/system for all schools). QU men’s hockey conference tournament @ QU’s M&T Bank Arena. March 10 & 11 @ 7pm. Link for tickets. The NCAA national championship tournament will begin with regionals on March 24 & 26 in Bridgeport, CT. Link for details.

Tuesday Feb 28
Join URI on Tuesdays from 3-5 pm for the Junior Explorers Club @ East Rock Park. The outdoor adventure will run from 3:30-4:30 with access to the building for bathrooms and to engage with the building’s resources from 3-3:30 and 4:30-5pm. Details and registration QR code below.
Community Conversation: “Housing Equity Now” @ Whitneyville Cultural Commons. 6-8pm. Presented by NHACDST and led by a panel of housing experts. Link for more details.

Teen Program @ Yale University Art Gallery. 3-4:30pm. Free. Bring your friends, explore the museum’s diverse collection, and make art. Recent sessions have focused on drawing, painting, and photography. Bus passes will be provided. For teens ages 13–19. Link for more details.
Teen Tech @ NHFPL Stetson Branch on Dixwell Ave. Stetson's “Innovation Studio” includes a makerspace, tech toys, and gaming room. Robots, gaming, 3D pens and printer, button makers, sewing, and more. Available for teens every Wednesday. 4-6pm. The Discovery Lab and Innovation Studio is Stetson’s destination for teens, and the teen lounge is an ideal spot to do homework, socialize, play games and tackle DIY projects. Link for more details.

“Lounge Night” @ Best Video Film & Cultural Commons from 5-7pm, Jazz Pianist, Wes O’Brien, will be showcasing his lounge chops. DJ Simply T and special guest DJ Jentlemen will start spinning at 7pm.
