Winter Wonders: March Madness!!
A chance at history for the Hamden Green Dragons! Undefeated and ranked #1 in the state, they have advanced to the CIAC State Championship game @ Mohegan Sun Arena. The girls already captured the SCC league championship, and now have their sights set on an undefeated, historic State Championship. They will face #2 ranked Fairfield Ludlowe, also undefeated so far this season.
The game is scheduled for 6:15pm on Saturday night. Here is a preview article, which describes this game as “the dream matchup fans have been waiting for all season.” Let’s all give the girls a Hamden home court advantage. Let’s all fill the Mohegan Sun Arena with Hamden fans in green everywhere. Invite your neighbors, invite your friends, invite your family. Link to purchase tickets.

Thousands of Hamdenites will be at the Mohegan Sun this weekend attending the state championship game. To assist everyone with planning, here are all 41 food & beverage options at the resort. Free tax filing help from Quinnipiac accounting students. Services are available to taxpayers from the Hamden area with annual household incomes of $60,000 or less. The sessions will take place at Keefe Community Center. 12-5pm. Every Friday until April 14th (except March 17th). Those who are interested may walk in; no appointments necessary. Professors from the QU School of Business will review each tax return before it is e-filed. Link for more details.

House of Heroes CT is hosting its biggest annual fundraiser, the 2023 Hearts and Heroes Gala "Havana Nights." The event includes live music, dancing, dinner, festive themed cocktails, and a premium raffle with fantastic prizes.
