Hamden’s 2nd Annual Amplify the Arts Festival will be hosted at the Eli Whitney Museum Barn. 1-7pm. This festival strives to amplify the voices and perspectives of youth, LGBTQ+, and BIPOC communities in Hamden, CT. Link for more details.
“Getting StARTed” family art program @ YUAG. Engaging activities to guide families and kids in looking at art together. The 30-minute sessions focus on a range of works from the collection and build in time for participants to try the month’s activity on their own. Link for more details.

SGPA Invasive Plant Removal Workday. If you’d like to join, please meet at the main entrance of the park near the Ranger Shed by 9:30am. From there, we will move to specific work areas around the park, and conclude work at approximately 11:30am. Link for more details.
SGPA Fall Forest Bathing – Shinrin Yoku. The Sleeping Giant Park Association invites you to experience Shinrin Yoku “forest bathing” at SGSP. The hike will be led by Dr. Jennifer Botwick, adjunct faculty at SCSU in the Dept. of Public Health teaching Stress Management, Wellness and Weight management, former clinical supervisor at UBCNM, and guest lecturer at UCONN Medical School and Quinnipiac College.
