Fall Feature: Best Video Film & Cultural Center
A Hamden Treasure, BVFCC continues to innovate and bring new cultural opportunities to the community every week, every month, every year. Films are its history, and still play a central role, but the organization has evolved into a 21st century cultural center with far more than just great films. Live music, indoors and outdoors, of all varieties - folk, rock, jazz, acoustic, bluegrass, country, etc. Community events for kids, adults, seniors, families, everyone. Team trivia nights. Film discussions. Film festivals. Lounge nights. Jazz nights. Saturday morning cartoons. The list goes on and on. Plus, a popular coffee bar, wine bar, and snack bar. (Serving Willoughby’s Coffee daily.)
And now a documentary film about BVFCC is in the works. “A documentary about one of the few video rental stores than not only survived the streaming revolution, but thrived!” Check it out here (includes a 3-minute sneak peek video).
