According to the experts here and here, peak fall foliage in southern CT will be the next ~2 weeks. So now is another great time to get out and enjoy the incredible natural beauty and environmental resources of Hamden. Below are 6 trail hiking or biking options for fall foliage “leaf peeping”.
Naugatuck State Forest - Quinnipiac Trail (including Mt. Sanford, the highest elevation in Hamden)
Additionally, enjoy Hamden’s fall foliage while kayaking on the Mill River or Lake Wintergreen with help from Kingfisher Adventures. This weekend is the last opportunity of the 2024 season.
